Did you know that male mosquitoes are vegetarians?
Its the female who bites.Want to know why?


Female mosquitoes need protein for their eggs, and must take a blood meal in order to reproduce. So while the female has to lay eggs the male is content drinking the nectar of flowers.
A few other cool facts about mosquitoes:

• Mosquitoes fly at speeds between 1 and 1.5 miles per hour.
• A mosquito's wings beat 300-600 times per second
• An adult mosquito may live 5-6 months
