This is somewhat a creepy fact
Did you know that
Humans share 50% of their genes with bananasYou share 50% of your genes with a banana. 

Yes it is the truth

Humans indeed share more than half of our DNA with bananas

Also
We share 40-50% of our DNA with cabbages.

Apparently Steve Jones,
Professor of Genetics at University College, London is credited with 
stating this information.
